It’s always a little strange to me that our City sits on so much cash, zero debt, and watches over a crumbling retail scene.

While everyone is asking how the vacancy problem can be solved, our City’s response always seems to circle back to privatising more assets.

It doesn’t need to be the case, not when successive councils have given direction to do something more.
