First, the good news - community sentiment over safety has improved this summer, police reports are down.

But let's look back, how did this award winning design community space became the subject of a safety summit in the summer of 25?

The 2020 masterplan got the design right, CPTED principles, good sight lines, materials built to last. what it never budgeted for is people.

When residents asked for more rangers on the ground. the answer was more cameras and sensors.

That's the presence gap.

Here's hoping this summer's stats are the first data points in an improving trend, not a lucky break in the weather.
