While the news outlets are busy covering the noise, the business of Local Government must go on.
My highlights:
🏦 An action plan for Central Perth and Adaptive Reuse has been drafted for Council, which incorporates the current rates reimbursement for developers plus more.
🌂Statement on Homelessness which finally arrives leaves much to be desired; the City has relegated almost all actions back to the State Government and falls back to an almost entirely advocacy position on the issue.
💹 The first monthly financials is already showing worrying signs - a massive shortfall in parking revenue accompanied by chronic under-staffing looms large over this new financial year.
