Amendment raising the 2021/22 Perth Festival 2022 sponsorship to Perth International Arts Festival Ltd from $263,750 to $350,000 (excl GST).

What it changed. Amends point 1.b to increase the Perth International Arts Festival cash contribution from $263,750 to $350,000.

Reasons given in the minutes. This event, named after our City, is one of Perth’s two biggest festivals held over our summer months. The City has a vision for Perth to be ‘the events heart of WA’ (2025 Events Strategy). [...] There is sufficient City of Perth budget remaining within the approved major events sponsorship budget: with a $566,250 balance available.
