Approves the 2021 Winter Festival Program except the Winter School Holiday Program, allocating $385,000 in the 2021/22 budget, and lists an extra $200,000 for the Grants and Sponsorships Program for consideration.
What it changed. Alternate to the officer recommendation: removes the $200,000 City-run Winter School Holiday Program and instead lists $200,000 extra for the Grants and Sponsorships Program.
Reasons given in the minutes. The City can deliver better value for money by supporting others to create events during the school holidays rather than creating its own events from scratch.
